As a photographer, I’m passionate about two things: Creating unique works of art, and helping others find joy in using their camera. My images and videos have appeared in Bird Watchers Digest, St Johns Magazine, Wild Birds Unlimited and various local businesses and publications. My concentration is typically on wildlife, but I love landscapes, machines, and just about anything else my lens will focus on.
As an instructor, I’m pleased to offer group classes and photography outings through my affiliation with the OLLI Continuing Education program at the University of North Florida. Through this program I’ve taught over 45 sessions and more than 500 students since 2013. I’ve been a guest presenter to the Duval and St Johns Audubon Societies, the Florida Native Plant Society, and a number of Photography Clubs in north Florida. I’ve been a frequent guest judge for their photo competitions.
My private photography lessons are individually designed to improve skills, and my photo website consulting helps those wanting to preserve and share their images with family and friends. Clients range from beginners to more serious wildlife and travel photography enthusiasts, and group classes feature technical, artistic and ethical aspects of digital photography.
I’m also a certified UF/IFAS Florida Master Naturalist, working to help clients and park visitors better understand environmental sustainability, connectivity, and biodiversity in Florida’s natural world. In line with this, I encourage my students and all wildlife photographers to join me in following the ABA and Audubon Codes of Birding Ethics.
